Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Donor Relations Manager, you will support the PRM team in MENARO to strengthen regional efforts to sustain and mobilize additional resources for MENA Country Offices, particularly in emergency contexts, through strategic engagement with major public partners, emerging partners, and International Financial Institutions (IFIs). The position will strengthen MENARO s public partnership portfolio by providing technical expertise, coordination, and analytical support to deepen and expand these strategic partnerships. You will support COs and the RO to ensure high-quality partnership development, effective resource mobilization, and full donor compliance, while contributing to the diversification and sustainability of regional funding.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Strategic public partnership engagement and portfolio growth
- IFI coordination and regional focal point functions
- Donor intelligence, trend monitoring, and strategic advisory
- Technical support, quality assurance, and public donors compliance
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum requirements:
- Education: Advanced university degree in any of the following: Social Sciences, Economics, Public Administration, International Relations, Business Administration, Public Health, Education or other fields related to the work of UNICEF.
- Work Experience: Minimum five years of progressively responsible managerial experience in the development field and/or in a donor agency. Experience must be at the international level, including the management of complex multi-stakeholder partnerships and at least five years of experience in policy and strategy development, design and implementation.
- Skills: Programming policies, Programming procedures, International development cooperation, Resources management, Outreach, Policy analysis.
- Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required.
Desirables:
- Language: Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish).
- Experience in Partnership development, Resource mobilization, Communication, Political processes, Governmental processes considered an asset.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
