Roles & Responsibilities


The Role


We are looking for a highly skilled and creative Pastry Chef with specialized expertise in both fine pastry and artisanal chocolate. The ideal candidate will be a passionate artist, a meticulous craftsman, and an inspiring leader who will take full ownership of our pastry program. You will be responsible for developing, creating, and executing an exceptional menu of desserts, pastries, and chocolate confections that reflect the highest standards of excellence.


Key Responsibilities


Design, develop, and execute an innovative and refined menu of pastries, plated desserts, cakes, and chocolate creations.


Expertly temper, mold, and decorate chocolate to create high-quality bonbons, pralines, showpieces, and other confections.


Manage all day-to-day operations of the pastry kitchen, including production schedules, plating, and rigorous quality control.


Train, mentor, and supervise junior pastry staff, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.


Oversee inventory management, including ordering premium ingredients, managing stock levels, controlling costs, and minimizing waste.


Ensure the kitchen operates in strict compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.


Collaborate with the Executive Chef and culinary team to ensure a cohesive and exceptional dining experience.


Stay current with the latest industry trends in pastry and chocolate to continuously innovate and refresh our offerings.


Required Skills & Qualifications


Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, with a strong portfolio showcasing advanced skills in both modern pastry and chocolate work.


Significant professional experience in a similar role, preferably within a high-end restaurant, luxury hotel, or renowned patisserie.


Advanced proficiency in a wide range of pastry techniques, including lamination, cake construction, sugar work, and modern dessert plating.


Demonstrable expertise in chocolaterie, including tempering (by hand and machine), enrobing, molding, and creating complex ganaches and fillings.


A culinary degree or equivalent certification in pastry arts is highly preferred.


Exceptional creativity and artistic skill with an impeccable eye for detail.


Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.


Ability to work efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
