Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Performs basic patient transport task. Assists in the daily functioning of the department in support of patient care.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

  • Supports the provision ofsafe, patient and family focused quality care.
  • Accompanies, transports andtransfers patients and patient related items (chart, medication, etc.) asrequired.
  • Assistsand helps patient in transporting patients to different areas safely.
  • Follows established telephoneetiquette. Seeks assistance where appropriate.
  • Adheres to the Employee Codeof Conduct. Maintains confidently at all time.
  • Promotes a safe environmentand safe patient care by embracing a safety culture and identifying areas ofrisk to Supervisor.
  • Floats to, and covers otherareas as assigned.
  • Contributes to patientsatisfaction by responding to requests in a timely manner.
  • Collects, organizes, archivesand fillies documents periodically as needed.
  • Follows the chain of commandin reporting incidents or concerns.
