Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Pattern Development: Create, edit, and grade patterns (both flat-pattern and CAD) based on sketches and technical packages.

  • Sample Development: Work with design team and suppliers to create first samples and analyze fit.

  • Fitting and Adjustment: Lead fittings, analyze fit issues, and perform pattern corrections for production.

  • Production Technical Support: Create marker layouts to optimize fabric usage and reduce waste.

  • Documentation: Maintain a digital pattern library and update Tech Packs throughout the development process.

  • Collaboration: Coordinate with designers and factories to solve technical issues.

  • Participate in fittings, providing technical support and advice on product development and handling any modifications required

  • Digital pattern library - Keep the pattern archives updated.

  • Work closely with the buying team to support the fit development process from a technical perspective.

  • Develop grade rules to match sizing requirements and prepare graded size charts for production in PLM to ensure a consistent fit across all sizes.

  • Make corrections in patterns if there are any issues in fitting.

  • Maintain regular contact with suppliers and factories throughout production and address any technical issues to ensure shipment dates are achieved.

  • Be involved in fit sessions for all brands to help and advise on the fits

The job holder will be responsible for Pattern making and Digital Library for POM ,Pattens and sample management.

Course in Pattern Cutting, Grading & Styling Development conducted by notable Clothing Industry Training Institute

Course in Grading & Marker Making System using GGT-AM -200 & 300 at recognize GGT institute or similar

Course in Quality Management System

  • Knowledge of Traditional Pattern Making

  • Knowledge of Garment construction process

  • Analytical skills

  • Attention to detail
