PE/Swimming Teacher

PE teacher (Female or Male) /Swimming Teacher (Male ) is responsible for delivering quality and coach the students especially early year and ability to develop swimming skills, technique and confidence in the water. He/she must have a good management, disciplines, safety and well-being of the students.

• To teach, train and prepare students for swimming activities based on class schedules.
• Plan and effectively organize class time and lesson plans
• Ensure safe provision of all equipment and ensure it is used correctly
• Make sure safety standards are followed in sessions and undertake risk assessments
• Identify students ability and encourage them to reach their full potential
• Provide explanations and demonstrate swimming techniques
• Teach Physical Education and swimming under the curriculum of quality sport activities
• Record and report on the development, progress and attainment of children including initiating meeting with parents to discuss attainment and progress
• Keep a disciplined class whilst promoting the general well-being of children.
• Teach with encouragement and positive reinforcement
• Provide for consistency in instruction by working each assigned period
• Perform other tasks assigned by the school principal.

Requirement:

• Enthusiastic and positive attitude towards PE/swimming
• Proficient in English (speaking, writing and listening);
• The ability to inspire confidence and motivate swimmers
• Perseverance and patience
• The ability to encourage people and put them at ease
• An understanding of how to differentiate in a coaching session especially kids
• Knowledge of swimming strokes and teaching levels
• Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
