Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Performs the critical reporting function of the Management Information (MI) section of the Financial Control department. Responsible for development, design, setting parameters and production of MI Reports / Packs using the HSBC Management Information (HMI) System. The job holder ensures that MI extracted from SAB systems is accurately and meaningfully reflected in MI Reports and submitted to a wide range of internal customers. The job holder strives to get maximum automation in report generation. The job holder actively participates in the AOP exercise and prepares AOP input, consolidation, HMI upload and analysis templates. The jobholder is guided by the rules, policies and standards laid down in SABIM, FIM for FCD, HSBC Management Information (HMI) systems manual and Group Standards for generating MI packs and other adhoc reports. He/She is also guided by SAB internal policies and procedures for AOP preparation. The jobholder will have the responsibility for development and production of MI Reports. Works closely with the Senior Manager PErformance and Capital Management and has significant exposure to senior management from SAB s various business lines and departments. Jobholder has reasonable authority in conducting his operations and to progress initiatives designed to improve the quality and efficiency of management information system. Moreover, He/She is responsible to address queries and requirements raised from the business management and Business Finance teams within stipulated timeframe with desired quality of output. The jobholder is also responsible to ensure consistency in bank's and segment level reporting with Financial reporting ledger along with providing necessary support to close out various published notes in quarterly and annual Financial statements.
