Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Dispense prescription medications accurately and provide clear instructions to patients regarding dosage, side effects, and storage.

  • Review and interpret physician orders to ensure appropriateness and safety of prescribed medications.
  • Advise healthcare professionals and patients on the proper use, potential interactions, and side effects of medications.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all prescriptions, controlled substances, and patient profiles in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Monitor patient health and progress to ensure medications are effective and identify any adverse reactions.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and medication therapy management.
  • Ensure the safe storage, handling, and disposal of pharmaceutical products according to legal and organizational guidelines.
  • Participate in inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies.
  • Stay informed about new pharmaceutical products, medical research, and changes in regulations affecting pharmacy practice.
  • Provide educational sessions or materials to patients and staff on medication safety, disease prevention, and wellness.

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum of 1 year of experience as a pharmacist in a clinical, community, or hospital setting.

  • Bachelor s degree in pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences from an accredited institution.
  • Valid pharmacist license or registration in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical drugs, their uses, side effects, and interactions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient and healthcare team interactions.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in dispensing medications.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, office-based environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
  • Proficiency in using pharmacy management software and electronic health records.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and training.
