Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- Provide expert advice and counseling to patients regarding medication usage, side effects, interactions, and storage.
- Review and interpret physician orders to ensure appropriateness of therapy and prevent potential drug interactions.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date patient medication records and documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and therapeutic outcomes.
- Monitor inventory levels, manage stock, and ensure the safe storage and handling of pharmaceuticals.
- Conduct medication therapy management and provide immunization services as required.
- Stay current with developments in pharmacy practice, new medications, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations governing pharmacy operations.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement of pharmacy services.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a licensed pharmacist in a clinical, retail, or hospital setting.
- Bachelor s degree in Pharmacy (BPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution.
- Valid pharmacist license in good standing with the relevant regulatory authority.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, drug interactions, and therapeutic protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient counseling and team collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, office-based environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in dispensing and record-keeping.
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems and related software applications.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards.
