Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. As a crucial member of our medical staff, you ll play an essential role in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications to our patients. This position requires excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of pharmaceuticals, and a dedication to patient care. You will be responsible for verifying prescriptions, advising healthcare providers and patients on drug interactions, dosages, side effects, and health improvements. Your expertise will help ensure compliance with all pharmaceutical regulations and standards, while also providing high-quality pharmaceutical care to improve patient outcomes. The ideal candidate should have a passion for healthcare, be able to work calmly under pressure, and possess a meticulous attention to detail.


Responsibilities
  • Accurately dispense prescribed medications, verifying quantities and ensuring correct labeling.
  • Provide counsel to patients and healthcare professionals about medication interactions and side effects.
  • Manage and maintain pharmaceutical inventory, tracking expiration dates and ensuring proper stock levels.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to evaluate and modify medication therapies if necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies concerning pharmaceuticals.
  • Compound and dispense medications by following prescribed standards and procedures.
  • Conduct health and wellness screenings to advise patients on lifestyle and drug therapies.
  • Stay current on medical research, pharmacology updates, and advancements in drug therapies.
  • Maintain patient medication records and document any changes in prescriptions or therapies.
  • Advise patients on the proper usage and storage of their medications for safety.
  • Train pharmacy staff on best practices and the latest pharmaceutical technologies.
  • Manage pharmacy operations, including necessary paperwork and patient consultations.

Requirements
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • Valid Pharmacy license .
  • Strong attention to detail with exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to understand and explain complex medication and dosage instructions clearly.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, for patient interaction.
  • Experience with pharmacy management software and medical databases is desirable.
  • Previous experience in a clinical or retail pharmacy environment is preferred.
