Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking to appoint a passionate and dedicated educator to join our outstanding, well-resourced PE department.

The PE team plays an active role in extra-curricular sports and successfully runs teams across a wide range of disciplines. Candidates are expected to contribute fully to both curriculum and extra-curricular PE and sport.

Our department also offers an extensive swimming programme, to which all members contribute. Experience in teaching swimming would be advantageous.

All PE teachers may be required to teach IGCSE PE and IB Sports, Exercise, and Health Science, and will be supported in developing the necessary skills to do so effectively. While PE teachers are designated as either Primary or Secondary , members of the department may be required to contribute across both schools.

Desired Candidate Profile

The successful applicant will be required to have the following:

  • Certified teaching qualification in PE or (PGCE or equivalent) and possess QTS certification.

  • A minimum of 3 years experience teaching physical education in the UK or a reputable British school overseas

  • Evidence of leading a wide range of extra-curricular sports activities.

  • Confidence and competence in delivering and contributing to the PE curriculum across relevant age groups.

  • Evidence of continuing professional development in Physical Education

  • Experience and passion for EYFS and Primary PE and swimming (Desirable)

  • Ability to teach up to IGCSE Physical Education/BTEC Sport Level 2 with a proven track record of strong student performance outcomes (Desirable)
