Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' physical condition through detailed examinations, utilizing Tagalog to ensure clear communication and understanding of patient history and symptoms.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments, taking into account cultural nuances and patient preferences, explained in Tagalog.
  • Implement therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques, demonstrating each procedure clearly and providing explanations in Tagalog to enhance patient compliance.
  • Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and self-management strategies, using Tagalog to promote comprehension and active participation.
  • Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly, regularly communicating in Tagalog to address concerns and ensure treatment effectiveness.
  • Provide guidance on assistive devices and home exercise programs, thoroughly explaining instructions in Tagalog to facilitate independent living and recovery.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including progress notes and treatment outcomes, while adhering to professional standards.
  • Stay updated on the latest physiotherapy practices and techniques, and participate in continuing professional development, relevant to the local context.
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards, demonstrating empathy and respect for patients from diverse backgrounds, with sensitivity in Tagalog.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy or a related field, accredited by a recognized institution.
  • Holds a valid professional license/registration to practice physiotherapy, preferably in the Philippines or a country with recognized reciprocity.
  • Has certifications in specialized areas of physiotherapy (e.g., manual therapy, sports rehabilitation) are highly advantageous.
  • Demonstrates a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, ideally in a hospital, clinic, or rehabilitation center setting.
  • Fluent in Tagalog and English, both written and spoken, enabling effective communication with patients and colleagues.
  • Proficient in using relevant physiotherapy equipment and software for assessment and documentation.
  • Demonstrates physical stamina and dexterity, necessary for performing manual therapy techniques and assisting patients.
