Pipe Fitter (Fire Fighting)

Install fire suppression pipes, valves, fittings, and fixtures according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

Fabricate, assemble, and connect piping systems for fire sprinklers, hydrants, and deluge systems.

Measure, cut, thread, bend, and join pipes to specified dimensions using appropriate tools and techniques.

Secure pipes to structures using brackets, hangers, or supports.

Conduct pressure tests, hydrostatic tests, and other inspections to ensure system integrity and leak-free performance.

Verify that installations comply with fire safety codes, project requirements, and industry standards.

Inspect and maintain fire fighting systems to ensure they are in working order and meet operational requirements.

Troubleshoot and repair issues such as leaks, blockages, or faulty components.

Follow all HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) protocols specific to fire fighting systems in the oil and gas sector.

Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a safe work environment.

Select and prepare fire-resistant pipes, fittings, and materials based on project requirements.

Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of materials and tools.

Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance activities, and test results.

Provide detailed reports to supervisors or project managers regarding progress, issues, and system performance.

Work closely with fire safety engineers, project teams, and other trades to integrate fire fighting systems into the overall project.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders to resolve design or site-specific challenges.
