Pipe Fitter (Chilled Water)

Install and assemble chilled water pipes, fittings, and fixtures based on blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.

Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required specifications using appropriate tools and equipment.

Connect pipes using welding, brazing, threading, or other joining techniques, ensuring leak-proof and secure joints.

Install valves, pumps, insulation, and other components for chilled water systems.

Inspect chilled water systems for leaks, corrosion, or wear and carry out necessary repairs.

Perform preventive maintenance to ensure the efficiency and longevity of piping systems.

Conduct hydrostatic, pressure, or vacuum tests to verify the integrity of the installed piping system.

Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety protocols.

Select and prepare the appropriate pipes, fittings, and materials based on project requirements.

Coordinate with procurement or material management teams for timely availability of resources.

Follow strict HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) guidelines during all phases of work.

Use appropriate PPE and maintain a safe work environment, especially when handling tools, heavy equipment, or hazardous materials.

Maintain accurate records of work performed, including material usage and test results.

Report progress, challenges, or deviations to supervisors or project managers.

Work closely with engineers, foremen, and other tradespeople to ensure proper integration of chilled water systems into the overall project.

Assist in resolving on-site issues related to pipe installations or system alignment.
