Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsible for the design, specification, procurement, and construction support of pipeline systems during the EPC phase. This role ensures that pipeline systems are engineered to meet project requirements, industry standards, and regulatory compliance, while coordinating across disciplines and stakeholders to deliver safe and cost-effective solutions.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and review pipeline design basis, route selection, and alignment sheets.
- Perform stress analysis, wall thickness calculations, and hydraulic simulations.
- Prepare and review technical specifications, data sheets, and material requisitions for pipes, valves, fittings, and coatings.
- Ensure compliance with international codes and standards (e.g., ASME B31.4/B31.8, API, ISO).
- Coordinate with geotechnical, civil, and environmental teams for crossings, burial depth, and right-of-way considerations.
- Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs / HAZID, and constructability assessments.
- Provide technical evaluation of vendor bids and support technical clarifications.
- Review vendor documents and drawings for compliance with project specifications.
- Interface with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of pipeline materials.
- Support site engineering and construction teams with technical queries and field changes.
- Monitor pipeline installation, welding, NDT, coating, and hydrotesting activities.
- Ensure as-built documentation and redline markups are accurate and complete.
- Participate in pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
Desired Candidate Profile
Professional Knowledge & Experience
- Bachelor s degree or higher in Engineering in Mechanical or Civil or equivalent
- Minimum of 10 years experience in Onshore oil and gas production facilities
- Minimum of 5 years experience in detailed Engineering and EPCCS Phase.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards (API, ASME) and pipeline construction methods, material and safety practices
- Familiar with Algerian oil field production complex development is an advantage.
- Excellence in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and special design software (CAESAR II, AutoPIPE, GIS tools)
- Systematic Thinking, Proactive working style and willingness to learn with the new task.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills; a team orientation, as well as the ability to deal effectively with personnel at all levels.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English is a must. Able to communicate and writing in French is an advantage.
- Capable of working independently, efficient, and competent in carrying out duties.
- Able to travel to the field i.e. Desert camp, CPF site.
