Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Pipeline Engineer will be responsible for the design, construction, and maintenance of pipeline systems for oil, gas, and utilities. You will ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency in every phase from planning to execution.

This is a full-time, on-site role requiring exceptional technical proficiency and project management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, and optimize pipeline routes and systems.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost estimations.
  • Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and engineering reports.
  • Oversee construction, installation, and testing of pipelines.
  • Monitor pipeline integrity and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, mechanical, and project engineers.
  • Manage data collection, field surveys, and quality assurance processes.
  • Review design documentation and support project tenders and proposals.
  • Recommend design modifications and engineering improvements.

Required Skills & Software Proficiency

  • Strong technical expertise in pipeline design, installation, and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software such as:
    • AutoCAD / AutoCAD Plant 3D
    • CAESAR II (for stress analysis)
    • PipeSim or OLGA (for flow simulation)
    • Bentley MicroStation or Navisworks
  • Knowledge of ASME, API, and ISO pipeline codes and standards.
  • Experience with hydraulic modeling, stress analysis, and corrosion control.
  • Understanding of GIS-based routing, HSE procedures, and QA/QC principles.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead teams and coordinate across multiple project phases.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Mechanical, Petroleum, or Civil Engineering (Master s preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Pipeline Engineer in the oil & gas or infrastructure industry.
  • Proven track record in pipeline design, project execution, and integrity management.
  • Strong understanding of safety standards and environmental regulations.
