Roles & Responsibilities

PIPECARE Group is looking for an experienced Pipeline Integrity Engineer to join our team.

By providing technology and service focused solutions to the international arena of the oil and gas industry, the PipeCare Group of companies has been helping our customers ensure the integrity of their pipeline and facility assets for over 20 years.

Industry/sector: Oil & Gas / In Line Inspection services.

Pipeline Integrity Engineer is responsible for performing comprehensive Fitness-for-Service assessment studies on client s pipelines using API 579 and other international standards.

Key Responsibilities & Authorities

  • Perform FFP evaluations of clients assets based on Level 1 & 2 assessments of damage mechanisms.
  • Performing RSTRENG calculations per clients requirements.
  • Perform Abaqus simulation models for corroded components.
  • Integrate inspection data into Abaqus simulation and perform analysis for degraded components.
  • Evaluate repair options and make recommendations to clients.

Team leadership and collaboration

  • Develop training material related to Pipeline Integrity.
  • Lead, mentor, and train a team of Integrity Engineers within the corporation, ensuring their skills are up-to-date and that they are consistently applying high-quality standards.
  • Act as the primary subject matter expert (SME) on Integrity Engineering during internal and external audits.
  • Liaise with clients, project managers, and integrity engineers to understand project requirements and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making.
  • Communicate complex findings and data-driven narratives to senior management and other non-technical stakeholders.

Skills/Experience

  • Minimum of Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 8 -10 years experience in Pipeline integrity in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Experience in API 579, ASME codes, Abaqus.
  • Strong professional command of written and spoken English in addition to communication skills is a must.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Mobility: Must be able to walk and climb to perform duties, including maneuvering within a refinery or plant environment and accessing elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.
  • Communication: Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, or other communication capabilities, to communicate effectively.
  • Focus and Multitasking: Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively.
  • Safety Equipment: Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection, if/where needed in manufacturing environments.
  • Personal Mobility and Reflexes: Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform office duties and travel to off-site locations when necessary.
