Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Inspect welding, pipeline fabrication, erection, and associated NDT activities in accordance with approved procedures and project specifications.

  2. Review and approve Welding Procedures (WPS), PQRs, and Welder Qualifications.

  3. Review and verify Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and material certificates.

  4. Witness and evaluate RT, UT, MT, PT, and VT activities, including radiograph interpretation.

  5. Inspect pressure vessels, pipelines, piping, heat exchangers, and structural works during fabrication and installation.

  6. Witness hydrostatic and pneumatic testing.

  7. Monitor and verify PWHT activities.

  8. Raise NCRs and verify corrective and preventive actions.

  9. Prepare and submit clear inspection reports and maintain weld/NDT logs.

  10. Ensure compliance with ASME, API, ANSI, ASTM, AWS, and BS standards.

  11. Coordinate with client, contractor, and project teams at site.

Desired Candidate Profile

  1. Strong technical knowledge of welding, pipeline, and NDT inspection activities.

  2. Hands-on experience in Oil & Gas / EPC projects.

  3. Good communication and reporting skills.

  4. Client-focused, detail-oriented, and quality-driven.


Experience

  1. Diploma (3 years): Minimum 12 years of QA/QC experience in Pipeline/Welding & NDT

  2. Bachelor’s Degree (4 years): Minimum 10 years of QA/QC experience

  3. Oil & Gas experience:

    • Diploma: Minimum 8 years

    • Bachelor’s: Minimum 6 years

Qualifications & Certifications

  1. Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

  2. CSWIP 3.1 / AWS CWI (or equivalent) – minimum 5 years post-certification experience

  3. ASNT Level II in RT, UT, MT, PT

  4. Film interpretation certification from CSWIP/AWS (for RT)

  5. H2S & Site Safety / HSE Training
