Roles & Responsibilities

Job Profile
The Piping Site Supervisor NG Piping Projects is responsible for supervising all piping-related construction activities for NG yards, PRMS installations, and natural gas networks, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, gas authority regulations, applicable codes, and HSE requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Gas Piping Construction & Supervision

Supervise day-to-day piping fabrication activities including cutting, fit-up, welding, grinding, and finishing in coordination with team leaders.
Supervise installation of carbon steel and stainless-steel gas piping & Tubing for NG yards, PRMS, Upstream and downstream networks.
Ensure works are executed as per approved P&IDs, isometrics, GA drawings, and method statements.
Monitor correct installation of valves, regulators, meters, safety devices, vents, and relief systems.
Allocate work to Fabricators, welders, helpers, and foremen based on skill and workload

2. Compliance with Gas Authority & Codes

Ensure full compliance with gas authority requirements (e.g. ADNOC/ AD Ports / Civil Defence / DOE).
Ensure installations comply with ASME B31.3 / B31.8, NFPA, and local gas regulations.
Coordinate inspections with gas authority, consultant, TPI, and client representatives.

3. Safety & HSE Control

Enforce strict adherence to gas safety procedures, PTW systems, and hazardous area controls.
Ensure gas detectors, firefighting systems, earthing, bonding, and safety signage are correctly installed.
Conduct toolbox talks focusing on gas safety, hot work, and pressure testing activities.

4. Welding, NDT & QA/QC

Supervise site and workshop welding activities ensuring compliance with approved WPS, PQR and WPQ
Coordinate NDT activities (RT, UT, MT, PT) and ensure acceptance as per project specifications with the subcontractors.
Ensure proper material traceability, QC related documents and documentation control.

Supervise hydrostatic and pneumatic testing of gas piping systems.
Ensure flushing, nitrogen purging, drying, and leak testing are performed as per procedures.
Verify reinstatement of piping systems after testing.

5. PRMS Equipment Installation

Supervise installation of PRMS skids in the site in coordination with the clients and projects team
Ensure correct alignment, supports, foundations, and clearances as per approved layouts.
Coordinate electrical and instrumentation interfaces for PRMS and safety systems.

7. Planning & Coordination

Plan daily activities in coordination with Site Engineer and Project Manager.
Coordinate with civil, electrical, instrumentation, firefighting, and control system teams.
Ensure materials, manpower, and equipment are available as per work schedule.

8. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain daily progress, manpower, and inspection reports.
Support preparation of test packs, QC reports and as-built drawings.
Close punch list items and support final handover to client and gas authority.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience br> ul> li>Minimum 3 4 years experience in Natural Gas piping projects./li> li>Strong knowledge of gas piping systems, safety requirements, and authority approvals./li> li>Experience working with gas authorities, Civil Defence, and third-party inspectors./li> /ul> b>Skills & Competencies/b> br> ul> li>Strong understanding of gas safety and hazardous area requirements./li> li>Ability to read and interpret gas P&IDs, isometrics, and layout drawings./li> li>Good leadership, coordination, and communication skills./li> li>Safety-focused mindset with attention to detail./li> /ul>
