Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Manage all piping and welding inspection activities at site/shop within EPC projects.

Implement QA/QC activities at work site, including subcontractor works, in accordance with approved QCP / ITPs, procedures, and method statements.

Review all material, welding, and testing-related deliverables.

Ensure all activities are executed in compliance with Company HSE policies, procedures, and specifications.

Attend stage-wise inspections, witness, and hold points as per approved ITP.

Perform receiving inspections of project materials and review MTCs / MRBs.

Witness WPS / PQR and welder qualifications; inspect weld joints and sign off related reports.

Review test packs, verify compliance, and witness pressure and leak testing.

Participate in daily progress meetings with EPC contractors and highlight any piping-related issues.

Review and certify red mark-ups and final as-built drawings.

Provide regular feedback to QA/QC Engineer on daily quality issues.

Raise and follow up on NCRs, ensuring timely closure in line with project requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Certification in AWS-CWI / CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2 (mandatory).

ASNT / PCN Certification in NDT Level II (RT, UT, MT, PT/LPT).

Minimum 8 years of experience as a welding inspector in Oil & Gas EPC projects.

Minimum 3 years experience on major EPC / pipeline / plant projects.

Strong knowledge of piping systems, welding inspection, and testing of valves (Ball, Globe, Gate, etc.).
