Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Project Planning & Scheduling:

  • Prepare and maintain detailed project schedules (Level 2 4) for engineering, procurement, and construction activities using Primavera P6.
  • Perform critical path analysis, progress measurement, and variance assessments.
  • Monitor and report schedule performance and recommend recovery actions when necessary.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to maintain alignment of schedules.

Cost Engineering:

  • Track project budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecasts using approved cost control systems.
  • Implement Earned Value Management (EVM) principles to assess project performance and productivity.
  • Perform cost variance analysis and contribute to monthly cost reports.
  • Assist in change management processes by assessing time and cost impacts of variations.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Prepare weekly and monthly planning and cost control reports, including dashboards and KPIs.
  • Provide input for risk assessments, schedule reviews, and cost trend analysis.
  • Support preparation of data for audits, reviews, and project assurance gates.
  • Maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), coding structures, and progress measurement systems.

Key Experience

  • Strong experience in FEED, EPC, and brownfield/greenfield projects for upstream, midstream, or downstream assets.
  • Experience with BP or other IOCs (Shell, ExxonMobil, TotalEnergies, etc.) is highly preferred.
  • Understanding of project delivery models (EPC, EPCM, LSTK) and typical contracting arrangements.
  • Familiarity with Major Oil and Gas companies engineering standards and global project execution methodologies is a strong advantage.
  • Effective communicator who can influence key stakeholders
  • Proven coaching and mentoring skills for graduate and young engineer
  • Good spoken and written capability (technical reports) in English and demonstrated IT literacy.
  • GCC work experience is preferable.
