u>Job Objectives:/u>

  • Primary Function
    • To create and implement an integrated planning and process for Drilling, Workover and Rigless operations.
    • To manage the work plan with all other parties to include, but not limited to Projects, Sub Surface, UXO and Operations.
    • To maximize the efficiency and utilization of resources.
  • Job Role and Interfaces
    • To as the primary linkage between delivery (Wells) and both Sub Surface and Operations in respect of planning and scheduling activities.
    • To establish, with the Sub Surface Team a hopper of work based upon priority, deliverability and required preparation which is communicated through project plans, regular meetings and communications with and between all involved parties.
    • To manage the work hopper and plan to reflect changes in priorities as will occur due to ceased well and production circumstances.
    • To coordinate the preparation and lead times for work with UXO, Projects Section and Deputy sections heads who liaise directly with local contractors and interests.
    • To take into account local community issues and coordinate with the Public Relations and Socioeconomic Team.
    • To contribute to the management reporting and forecasting needs of the organisation.
    • Work plans will identify the timing, preparation and availability of resource requirements.
    • To work with department heads and Cost Controller to allocate costs to planned work.
    • To act as the primary liaison between Wells and the Field Planning function.
    • Establish effective working relationships with contractor companies, management and logistics functions.

Desired Candidate Profile

Expected:

  • Professional Diploma in Science/Engineering.
  • Diploma, or recognized qualification in Planning.
  • Professional courses / certificates related to Drilling Industry.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in in Planning complex and multi-faceted work within the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Must possess an effective working knowledge of wells (drilling, workover and rigless) operations.
  • Highly developed use of Excel, MS Project and Primavera is desired.
  • Ability to work well with others in a culturally diverse; multi-functional team environment. Able to interact effectively with peers; service and contractor representatives.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a self starter and motivated individual.
