Roles & Responsibilities
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Planner with strong expertise in petrochemical and oil & gas contracting projects. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in Primavera P6, project scheduling, forecasting, and turnaround/shutdown planning within petrochemical plants.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
Prepare baseline schedules, resource loading (up to Level 5), and progress tracking.
Monitor project performance and prepare forecast completion dates.
Support Mega Turnaround, Turnaround, and Shutdown planning activities.
Coordinate with Project Manager and Client for schedule updates and execution strategy.
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
Track manpower, equipment, and productivity during shutdown activities.
Ensure compliance with safety standards in petrochemical / hazardous environments.
Assist in planning mechanical, erection, hydrojetting, catalyst handling, heavy lift, and industrial cleaning works.
Required Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in Petrochemical / Oil & Gas contracting projects.
Experience in Mega Turnaround, Turnaround & Shutdown projects.
Experience with reputed contracting companies handling:
Mechanical works
Erection works
Industrial cleaning in petrochemical plants
Work experience in Jubail / Yanbu preferred.
Similar petrochemical experience in India may also be considered.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred from reputed institution).
Primavera (P6) Certification Mandatory
PMI Certification Preferred
Technical Skills
Strong hands-on experience in:
Primavera P6 scheduling
Forecasting and progress monitoring
Resource loading up to Level 5
Shutdown & turnaround planning
Working in petrochemical / hazardous environments
Hydrojetting, catalyst handling, heavy lifting, and site fabrication activities
Proficient in:
MS Word & MS Excel
Preparation of progress reports
Email communication in English
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and planning skills.
Ability to work in a multinational environment.
Safety-first mindset.
Strong coordination with Project Manager and Client.
Good communication skills in English (Speaking, Reading & Writing).
