Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities


  • Analyse requisitions and maintain inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands.

  • Verify Sales Orders for accuracy:  description, codes, and related details to prepare Production Order.

  • Prepare project / production order and send to the concerned department.

  • Check production orders Bill of Materials (BOM’s) and update the system as per the order requirement.

  • Calculate Raw Material requirements and forward the estimated amounts to the Stores.

  • Follow up with the Stores and Purchasing Departments to ensure that required materials are ordered in a timely manner to support on-time production and delivery. It is critical to promptly inform the concerned Division Manager of any delays or unavailability of materials.

  • Revise production schedules as required due to changes in customer requirements, material shortages, or other operational factors, in coordination with Management, Sales, Production, Purchasing, and, when necessary, the Design Department.

  • Verify stock quantities of raw material required and order the shortage immediately.

  • Generate new codes on the Planning software for new designs and or modifications.

  • Maintaining / filing all Production Orders, Estimation Reports, Drawings, etc.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Desired Candidate Profile

Education

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

  • Candidates with strong relevant experience in manufacturing planning may be considered even if non-engineering.


Experience

  • 3–6 years of experience in production planning / material planning / coordination.

  • Mandatory experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably furniture, joinery, fit-out, or similar project-based production).

  • Experience working with:

    • Bill of Materials (BOM)

    • Production Orders / Job Orders

    • Material Requirement Planning (MRP)

  • Exposure to custom/bespoke (loose furniture and joinery) production is highly preferred.


Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of:

    • Production planning workflows

    • Material requirement calculations

    • Inventory coordination

  • Experience using ERP systems (preferably Infor ERP or similar systems such as SAP, Oracle, etc.)

  • Proficient in MS Excel (basic formulas, tracking sheets, data handling)

  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications
