Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using software like Primavera P6, reflecting the project's scope, deliverables, and resources.
- Conduct regular progress monitoring, comparing actual progress against the baseline schedule, and proactively identify potential delays or issues.
- Analyze project performance data, identifying critical path activities and potential risks, providing insights for informed decision-making.
- Prepare and present regular schedule updates and reports to stakeholders, including project managers, clients, and subcontractors, communicating progress and concerns.
- Collaborate with project teams to gather and validate schedule data, ensuring accuracy and completeness of the information.
- Manage and control project budgets by monitoring costs against the planned budget and providing variance analysis to the project team.
- Perform 'what-if' scenario planning to assess the impact of potential changes or delays on the project schedule and propose mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and review the Method Statement for construction activities to ensure that the schedule reflects the most efficient and safe methods of construction.
- Participate in project meetings, contributing planning expertise and providing proactive solutions to scheduling challenges.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all planning activities, including schedules, reports, and change orders, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Holds relevant certifications such as PMP or PMI-SP, demonstrating project management and scheduling expertise.
- Demonstrates a minimum of 5 years of experience in construction planning, showcasing practical application of scheduling principles.
- Exhibits in-depth knowledge of construction methodologies and sequencing, ensuring realistic schedule development.
- Proficient in Primavera P6 and other scheduling software, demonstrating the ability to build, manage, and analyze schedules effectively.
- Displays strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling effective identification and resolution of scheduling challenges.
- Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration with project teams and stakeholders.
- Exhibits strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of schedules and reports.
- Demonstrates a proactive and results-oriented approach, with the ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken, enabling effective communication in a diverse work environment.
