Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead and manage the planning, scheduling, monitoring, and control of power transmission projects, including 132kV substations, overhead lines (OHL), and underground cable laying works. Ensure accurate project timelines, effective resource allocation, and alignment with contractual, technical, and client requirements. Act as the focal point for project progress, risk analysis, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop, manage, and update baseline project schedules using Primavera P6 for transmission and 132kV projects.
· Perform critical path analysis, risk assessments, and schedule optimization.
· Monitor overall project progress, identify delays, and propose corrective/recovery actions.
· Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and subcontractors to ensure project alignment.
· Prepare and submit progress reports, dashboards, and earned value management (EVM) analysis to management and clients.
· Conduct resource and cost loading in schedules to forecast manpower, equipment, and material needs.
· Support commercial and contracts teams in extension-of-time (EOT) claims, delay analysis, and variation assessments.
· Attend client/consultant meetings and present project planning updates.
· Maintain historical data, benchmarks, and productivity norms for future project planning.
· Ensure all project schedules comply with contractual requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.
Desired Candidate Profile
· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Civil / Mechanical Engineering.
· 5+ years of core planning experience in power transmission (132kV substations, OHL, and underground cabling projects).
· Expert in Primavera P6, MS Project, MS Excel, and reporting tools.
· Strong knowledge of EOT claims, delay analysis, and earned value management (EVM).
· Excellent analytical, coordination, and communication skills.
· Proven track record in handling large-scale transmission projects under tight deadlines.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
· On-time submission of baseline schedules, look-ahead programs, and reports.
· Accuracy of forecasting and resource allocation.
· Timely identification and mitigation of schedule risks and delays.
· Successful support in contractual claims (EOT, delay analysis).
· Contribution to achieving project milestones and timely project delivery.
