Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Planning Engineer with proven experience in high-rise building construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting, ensuring timely and efficient project execution. The candidate must be willing to work across African locations such as Benin, Abata, and Ivory Coast.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, monitor, and update project schedules using industry-standard planning tools.

  • Prepare baseline programs, look-ahead schedules, and recovery plans.

  • Track project progress and identify potential delays, proposing corrective actions.

  • Coordinate with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project timelines.

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.

  • Conduct delay analysis and support claims preparation where required.

  • Ensure compliance with project specifications and contractual requirements.

  • Analyze resource allocation and optimize project efficiency.


Technical Requirements:

  • Strong experience in high-rise building construction projects.

  • Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent tools.

  • Sound knowledge of project scheduling techniques, resource planning, and cost control.

  • Familiarity with construction methodologies and sequencing for high-rise structures.

  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

  • Any Bachelor’s Degree (Civil/Mech) related to the field.

  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in planning and scheduling.

  • Experience working on international or African projects is an added advantage.


Language Requirement:

  • Fluency in French (mandatory) and good command of English.


Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to relocate and work in African countries (Benin, Abata, Ivory Coast).

  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
