Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Develop detailed project schedules (Level 1 4) using Primavera P6 / MS Project.

  • Create baseline schedules aligned with project scope, engineering, procurement, and fabrication timelines.
  • Track progress against the schedule and update regularly.

Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, QC, and Project Management teams to align timelines.

  • Monitor shop production activities related to pressure vessel and heat exchanger fabrication.
  • Identify delays, bottlenecks, and risks; recommend mitigation plans.

Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports (S-Curves, dashboards, manpower histograms).

  • Maintain records of planned vs. actual progress, productivity reports, and critical path analysis.
  • Present progress reviews to management and clients.

Forecast manpower, material, and machine requirements for fabrication shop.

  • Ensure availability of materials and resources as per project timeline.
  • Support procurement teams with required delivery schedules.

Monitor project timelines to prevent delays and cost overruns.

  • Assist in project budgeting related to timeline assumptions.
  • Track change orders and impact on project schedule.

Understanding of ASME-coded fabrication processes for pressure vessels and heat exchangers.

  • Knowledge of welding sequences, hydrotesting schedules, NDT timelines, and fabrication workflow.
  • Review fabrication drawings, MTO, and work packages for scheduling accuracy.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

  • 5 8 years of experience in project planning within fabrication industries (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, static equipment).
  • Strong experience with Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Knowledge of ASME Section VIII, TEMA, API standards preferred.
