Position Overview

This Planning Engineer role with Parsons Corporation in Dubai supports major RTA infrastructure projects, involving highways, bridges, utilities, interchanges, and complex urban mobility systems. The role focuses on schedule development, progress monitoring, delay analysis, risk identification, and providing strategic planning support to ensure timely and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and validate contractors baseline schedules in alignment with contract requirements and Parsons recommended practices
• Assess project resource compatibility and ensure feasibility of timely completion
• Develop integrated master schedules for multi-package projects with interdependencies
• Identify risks and conflicts early and record them in the project risk register
• Review updated schedules, evaluate progress, identify slippage, and recommend corrective actions or recovery plans
• Conduct What-if analyses to assess impacts of variations, changes, or potential delays
• Prepare regular progress reports and monthly program analyses with clear recommendations
• Carry out detailed delay analyses including EoT, disruption claims, time impact, and window analyses
• Coordinate closely with contractors and clients to resolve scheduling issues and finalize programs
• Attend kick-off, technical, and progress review meetings and prepare minutes of meetings
• Develop trackers and logs to monitor design and construction issues and key milestones
• Agree on Progress Measurement Systems and KPIs with project teams
• Provide well-reasoned responses to contractor notices using planning data and contractual understanding
• Maintain accurate contemporary project records and issue delay notices when required
• Lead and mentor planning engineers, ensuring strong technical performance and coordination
