Planning Engineer (Civil / Mechanical)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Planning Engineer Civil to manage project schedules, monitor progress, and support construction project execution. The role involves preparing baseline schedules, tracking activities, forecasting delays, and ensuring project milestones are met within time and budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain project schedules using software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.

Prepare baseline schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and resource allocation plans.

Monitor day-to-day project progress and update schedules accordingly.

Analyze deviations and identify delays or risks to the schedule; propose corrective actions.

Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project timelines.

Prepare progress reports, S-curves, histograms, and dashboards for internal and client use.

Assist in cost control, cash flow analysis, and resource planning.

Review contract documents, BOQs, and drawings to ensure accurate planning.

Participate in project review meetings and support decision-making through accurate planning data.

Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during project execution.

Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

5 7 years of relevant experience in construction project planning.

Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel is essential.

Knowledge of construction methods, project management principles, and contracts.
