Roles & Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Schedule Development & Maintenance

  • Develop comprehensive Level and Level-4 resource-loaded detailed project schedules for pipeline projects, including mainline, tie-in, and associated facilities.
  • Build and maintain detailed schedules using Primavera P6 (mandatory).
  • Incorporate all project phases: FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup.
  • Establish Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), activity coding, milestones, and logic ties in alignment with project scope.
  • Perform resource loading and leveling for all critical activities.
  • Maintain baseline schedules and manage schedule change control processes.

B. Progress Monitoring & Reporting

  • Monitor actual versus planned progress across all project disciplines and subcontractors.
  • Saudi Aramco Project control department Dashboards & reports to be submitted on time and with accuracy.
  • Collect field progress data and update schedules on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Prepare Weekly Progress Reports (WPR), Monthly Progress Reports (MPR), and Look-Ahead schedules.
  • Track KPIs including Schedule Performance Index (SPI), critical path activities, float consumption, and earned value metrics.
  • Identify schedule deviations early and recommend corrective actions to the project team.

C. Critical Path & Risk Analysis

  • Perform critical path analysis and identify near-critical paths that could impact project completion.
  • Assess the impact of scope changes, weather, and unforeseen events on the project schedule.
  • Develop recovery schedules and acceleration plans when required.

D. Coordination & Interface Management

  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure schedule alignment and interface management.
  • Liaise with subcontractors and vendors to obtain and validate their schedule inputs and progress updates.
  • Participate in schedule review meetings with the Client, PMC, and regulatory bodies.
  • Manage interface milestones between pipeline, facilities, tie-in, and third-party activities.

E. Documentation & Deliverables

  • Prepare and submit all schedule-related deliverables as per the Project Execution Plan (PEP) and contractual requirements.
  • Maintain schedule registers, baseline change logs, and planning documentation.
  • Ensure all schedule submissions comply with client requirements and formats.

Pipeline-Specific Experience:

  • Pipeline ROW (Right-of-Way) management and scheduling constraints.
  • Pigging, hydrotest, Stations, pre-commissioning, and commissioning scheduling.
  • River/road crossing schedules (HDD, open-cut), tie-in scheduling, and block valve station activities.
  • Understanding of pipeline welding, coating, cathodic protection, and NDT scheduling requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Minimum

  • 510 years of project planning and scheduling experience in the oil & gas industry.
  • Minimum 5 years of direct experience on onshore or offshore pipeline construction projects.
  • Experience with large-diameter pipeline projects (up to 16 ) is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of Saudi Aramco Project Experience is highly desired.

3. QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION

  • Bachelor s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline (required).
  • Master s Degree or professional certification is an advantage.
  • Certification in Primavera P6 (Oracle University or equivalent) is preferred.
