Roles & Responsibilities
About the Role
We are a growing construction company based in Sharjah, UAE, seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction planning and scheduling, with hands-on experience in villa and building projects.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules using planning software (Primavera P6 / MS Project).
Prepare baseline programs, progress reports, and lookahead schedules.
Track project progress against planned timelines and highlight delays or deviations.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate schedule updates.
Analyze schedule impacts, identify critical path activities, and recommend corrective actions.
Prepare and submit weekly and monthly progress reports to management and clients.
Support the preparation of project claims, EOT (Extension of Time) submissions, and variation assessments.
Assist in resource planning and manpower allocation in line with project requirements.
Participate in project meetings and provide planning input as required.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in construction planning/scheduling.
Experience in villa and building construction projects is highly preferred.
Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project is essential.
Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and contract management.
Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Able to join immediately or within 1 month (preferred).
