Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze, and approve Contractor’s baseline programmes and periodic schedule updates.

  • Monitor project progress, critical path, milestones, and overall productivity to ensure timely completion.

  • Conduct independent delay analysis, including identification of impacts and concurrent delays.

  • Review and validate Contractor’s recovery schedules and mitigation strategies.

  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, including FIDIC Sub‑Clauses 8.3 and 8.6.

  • Assess Extension of Time (EOT) claims and submit objective recommendations to the Engineer/Client.

  • Coordinate planning requirements for infrastructure interfaces such as traffic diversions, utility relocations, and bridge/underpass work sequences.

  • Identify key risks affecting schedule milestones and propose corrective/preventive actions.

  • Prepare independent progress reports, dashboards, KPIs, and planning summaries.

  • Lead planning and coordination meetings with Contractors, subcontractors, and relevant authorities.

  • Ensure plans comply with authority requirements (e.g., RTA, DEWA, Dubai Municipality, DMAT, ADM).

  • Review project handover requirements, variations, and claims-related documentation.

  • Prepare monthly reports, risk registers, and weekly presentations as required by the project.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • 8–18 years of experience in planning and scheduling for large-scale infrastructure projects.

  • Mandatory 10 years of proven experience in roads, bridges, underpasses, and utility projects.

  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project (optional), and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Strong experience in delay analysis, EOT evaluation, and progress monitoring techniques.

  • Prior exposure to RTA or similar government infrastructure projects is highly preferred.

  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and permitting processes.

  • Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder-management skills.
