Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with design to verify/adjust Tool Steel dimensions, prepare methods from 3D mold files, and organize method meetings with design, production, and CAM.
- Issue and update SOPs and routing sheets for mold assembly and parts, refining them based on method meetings, design modifications, or production feedback.
- Develop timelines, budgets, and critical paths; manage daily/weekly scheduling via the General Schedule Sheet; revise programs of work and estimated times as needed.
- Review daily production reports, provide operator feedback on productivity, efficiency, and run time, and coordinate corrective actions with production.
- Shorten lead times through optimized planning scenarios and resource allocation.
- Schedule machine maintenance, calibration, and cooling tank operations with production and maintenance heads.
- Identify production risks, develop preventive measures, and conduct improvement studies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and detail closure processes for each project.
- Monitor ERP vs. actual inventory, issue tool/equipment orders, and coordinate assembly orders with purchasing and export.
- Manage pricing/quotations for spare parts, and components by estimating hours, issuing spare parts pricing with MD for sales, and supporting financial tracking with the Project Manager.
- Prepare and submit reports: WIP reports, daily/weekly operational reports, monthly Zaylo schedules, and variation reports comparing estimated vs. actual times.
- Track and report KPIs such as delivery rates, accuracy, rejection/rework, defect rates, and cost savings.
- Approve routing sheet milestones, advise on training needs, and help develop incentive plans with production.
Desired Candidate Profile
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree: Industrial or mechanical Engineering degree.
- Language: Excellent command of English both spoken and written.
- Experience: +15 years of experience in manufacture industry. +5 years of experience in managerial role.
- Technical Knowledge: Solid knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), machining processes (e.g., milling, turning, EDM), and routing principles for mold and component manufacturing
