Position Overview
Mace is looking for an experienced Planning Manager to lead the planning and scheduling function on a landmark new airport development in Saudi Arabia. This project is designed to become a global benchmark in aviation, targeting 120 million passengers annually by 2030. The role will involve managing complex planning activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget while aligning with strategic objectives and sustainability commitments.

What You ll Do

* Own the planning function for assigned projects and tenders, ensuring comprehensive scheduling and performance monitoring.
* Apply advanced planning methodologies, including Earned Value Management (EVM), to maintain programme control.
* Oversee planning activities across high-complexity projects or large sections of programmes.
* Prepare and maintain detailed schedules, integrating design, procurement, and construction phases.
* Analyse deviations, prepare recovery plans, and advise project management on corrective actions.
* Engage with clients and senior stakeholders to agree on planning proposals and reporting standards.
* Lead and mentor a team of planning professionals, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
* Drive performance improvements through data-driven insights and best practice planning strategies.
* Maintain compliance with contractual requirements and governance standards.
* Support sustainability goals by incorporating low-carbon strategies within planning deliverables.

Ideal Profile

* Degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
* Proven experience as a Planning Manager on major aviation or infrastructure programmes.
* Strong knowledge of project controls, risk management, and planning software (Primavera P6 or similar).
* Expertise in developing and maintaining large-scale programme schedules and progress reporting.
* Familiarity with EVM principles and their application in complex projects.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
* Experience in the Middle East and eligibility to meet Saudi Arabia visa and client approval criteria.
