Roles & Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Planning Manager to oversee the planning and scheduling of architectural projects, ensuring timely and efficient project delivery. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in project coordination, resource allocation, and risk management while ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. This role requires excellent organizational and analytical skills, coupled with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Functions and Responsibilities
1. Project Planning and Scheduling:
Develop comprehensive project plans and schedules using industry-standard software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
Define project milestones, deliverables, and deadlines in collaboration with the design, construction, and client teams.
Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and recommend corrective actions to ensure timely delivery.
2. Resource Management:
Allocate resources effectively across multiple projects to optimize performance and efficiency.
Forecast manpower, material, and financial requirements to align with project objectives.
Collaborate with department heads to address resource constraints or adjustments.
3. Risk Management:
Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Monitor and evaluate risks throughout the project lifecycle, implementing contingency plans as needed.
Report on critical path analysis and potential delays to stakeholders.
4. Coordination and Communication:
Act as a liaison between clients, design teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure alignment on project timelines and deliverables.
Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders, highlighting key achievements and challenges.
Facilitate regular coordination meetings to review progress, address issues, and update schedules.
5. Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure project plans and schedules adhere to company standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
Maintain accurate documentation of project schedules, changes, and approvals.
Contribute to the development of best practices and planning tools for continuous improvement.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
· Minimum of 7+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably in an architectural or construction setting.
· Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or planning (e.g., PSP) is highly desirable.
