PLC Automation Electrician Al Qudwa Automation Systems (FZE)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation, wiring, and termination of PLC and control panels.

• Execute cable pulling, glanding, and termination (power, control, instrumentation cables).

• Install, connect, and test field instruments (pressure, temperature, flow, level).

• Carry out loop checking and I/O checking for all connected devices.

• Perform calibration and basic testing of field instruments.

• Troubleshoot and replace faulty components (sensors, transmitters, valves, relays, power supplies).

• Assist in testing & commissioning activities under engineer supervision.

• Read and follow electrical drawings, P&IDs, and instrument hook-up diagrams.

• Ensure proper tagging, labeling, and documentation of all instruments and cables.

• Follow site safety procedures and permit requirements.

Technical Requirements (Hands-On Only)

Electrical & Automation

• Strong experience in:

  • Cable glanding and termination

  • Control panel wiring

  • MCC and PLC panel connections

• Basic familiarity with PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Schneider Electric, Rockwell Automation)

• Ability to perform:

  • Loop checks

  • Continuity testing

  • Basic fault identification

Instrumentation

• Hands-on experience with installation and maintenance of:

  • Pressure transmitters

  • Temperature sensors (RTD, Thermocouple)

  • Flow meters (electromagnetic, ultrasonic, etc.)

  • Level transmitters and switches

  • Control valves and actuators

• Experience in:

  • Instrument calibration (basic level)

  • Impulse line installation and tubing works

  • Instrument cable termination and gland sealing

• Ability to read and understand:

  • P&IDs

  • Instrument loop diagrams

Tools & Testing

• Experience using:

  • Multimeter

  • Insulation tester (Megger)

  • Loop calibrator

  • Basic hand tools

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical / Instrumentation / Mechatronics

• 2–5 years of relevant field experience

Skills

• Strong hands-on technician skills (not engineering)

• Ability to follow instructions and site procedures

• Basic English communication

• Good safety awareness

• Ability to work on-site and under pressure
