Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain PLC systems used in marine applications

  • Troubleshoot and repair automation systems onboard ships and offshore platforms

  • Monitor and maintain control systems for engines, pumps, compressors, and cargo systems

  • Interpret electrical drawings, control schematics, and PLC logic

  • Perform diagnostics on HMI/SCADA systems and communication networks

  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of control panels and instrumentation

  • Support system upgrades, retrofits, and commissioning activities

  • Ensure compliance with marine safety standards and regulations

  • Coordinate with onboard engineers, shipyard teams, and OEM vendors

  • Maintain detailed service reports and technical documentation

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Automation Engineering

  • Strong knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, etc.)

  • Experience with HMI/SCADA systems and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, CAN, Ethernet/IP)

  • Understanding of marine electrical and control systems

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals

  • Good troubleshooting and analytical skills

  • Willingness to travel offshore and work in challenging marine environments
