Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
PLM Coding Engineer
You will join a dynamic project team and will be involved in coding and product data management activities within a PLM environment , particularly around the bill of materials (BOM) and technical monitoring of components.
As a Junior PLM Coding Engineer , you will participate in the creation, updating, and validation of technical data , ensuring consistency between design, technical developments, and project requirements. You will contribute to monitoring the part lifecycle, analyzing the impact of modifications, and supporting the technical and project teams.
This position is for a junior engineer (0 to 2 years of experience) , with a background in mechanics, industrial engineering, quality or mechatronics , who wishes to develop in a structured, demanding and collaborative technical environment.
- Managing and tracking the product lifecycle under SAP and PLM
- To propose solutions for better managing nomenclatures and their coding.
- Ensure the completeness of the design and manufacturing nomenclature.
- Managing the coding and diversity of parts.
- To formalize and monitor changes in the nomenclature.
- Update the bill of materials (BOM) under PLM.
- Manage and track the product lifecycle (parts, assemblies, plans) via SAP and PLM .
- Identify, analyze and resolve nomenclature anomalies following factory feedback.
- Ensure reporting and monitoring of projects with all stakeholders.
- Proficiency in VBA and Python automation is a plus
- Proficiency or basic knowledge of ERP tools (PLM or SAP)
Desired Candidate Profile
Training:
- Engineering degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, quality or mechatronics (or equivalent).
- Profile: Junior PLM Coding Engineer , at the beginning of their career, with initial experience in a technical and project environment.
