Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate estimates for labor and materials, communicating clearly with clients about project scope and costs.
  • Respond to emergency plumbing calls promptly, providing efficient solutions and minimizing water damage or disruptions.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and best practices, maintaining a clean and organized work environment to prevent accidents.
  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the layout of plumbing systems and ensure proper installations.
  • Utilize a company vehicle to travel to various job sites, ensuring the vehicle is maintained and in good working condition.
  • Complete paperwork, including work orders and invoices, accurately documenting services performed and materials used.
  • Perform pipefitting, soldering, and brazing tasks, demonstrating proficiency in various joining methods for different materials.
  • Install, repair, and maintain water supply lines, drainage systems, and fixtures, ensuring all work meets code requirements.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues in residential and commercial settings, accurately identifying the root cause of problems.
  • Operate and maintain plumbing tools and equipment, including drain snakes, pipe cutters, and testing devices, ensuring proper functionality.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in plumbing, demonstrating a proven track record of successful projects.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, understanding plumbing system layouts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, able to diagnose and resolve plumbing issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, able to interact professionally with clients.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity, with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various conditions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing time effectively and meeting deadlines.
  • Possession of a Journeyman or Master Plumber license, showcasing a commitment to professional development.
  • Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program or vocational training, acquiring practical experience in plumbing.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, demonstrating a commitment to safe driving practices.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, providing a foundational understanding of basic math and science principles.
