Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline
  • Minimum 15+ years of oil & gas industry experience.
  • Minimum 8+ years in a lead or senior engineering role on offshore projects.
  • Significant PMC and EPC experience on ADNOC, Middle East, or major international offshore projects.
  • Experience in FEED, Detailed Engineering, EPC, offshore installation, and commissioning phases.
  • Strong knowledge of offshore pipelines, subsea systems, and piping design

Technical Skills

  • Pipeline design and engineering.
  • ASME B31.3, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8.
  • API, DNV, ISO, and ADNOC standards.
  • Pipeline stress analysis and hydraulic calculations.
  • Corrosion management and material selection.
  • Offshore installation methodologies.
  • Brownfield and greenfield project execution
  • Risk assessment and engineering management

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Management

  • Lead and coordinate all pipeline and piping engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review and approve engineering deliverables, calculations, specifications, drawings, and technical documents.
  • Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, international codes, project specifications, and HSE requirements.
  • Manage engineering interfaces between pipeline, piping, process, mechanical, structural, electrical, instrumentation, and marine disciplines.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and contractors.

Design & Technical Assurance

  • Review pipeline routing studies, wall thickness calculations, stress analysis, material selection, corrosion studies, and hydraulic analyses.
  • Ensure pipeline and piping systems are designed for safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
  • Review design deviations, technical queries, concession requests, and management of change documentation.
  • Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, constructability, and design reviews.
  • Verify compliance with applicable international standards such as ASME, API, DNV, ISO, and ADNOC Engineering Standards.

Contractor Management

  • Monitor EPC contractor and engineering consultant performance.
  • Conduct technical evaluations and review contractor deliverables.
  • Resolve engineering issues and provide recommendations to ADNOC management.
  • Ensure timely closure of technical comments and actions.

Construction & Installation Support

  • Provide engineering support during fabrication, construction, offshore installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
  • Review method statements, installation procedures, hydrotest packages, and commissioning documentation.
  • Support offshore pipeline installation, subsea tie-ins, brownfield modifications, and shutdown activities where applicable.

Project Controls & Coordination

  • Monitor engineering progress against project schedules and milestones.
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation measures.
  • Coordinate with project management, procurement, construction, and operations teams.
  • Support project reporting and management reviews.

HSE & Quality

  • Promote ADNOC's HSE culture and ensure compliance with company safety policies.
  • Ensure engineering activities comply with project quality requirements.
  • Participate in audits, safety reviews, and lessons learned workshops.
