Expected:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in mechconstruction, with at least 5 7 years in a PMC or consultant role.
  • Proven experience on onshore oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, or large industrial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical construction practices.
  • Familiarity with international codes and standards (ACI, BS, ASTM, Eurocodes, etc.).
  • Experience with project scheduling tools and construction reporting systems.
  • Strong leadership and site coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple contractors and work under tight schedules.
  • Onshore project site-based role.

Construction Management

  • Supervise and monitor onshore mechanical construction works
  • Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project schedules.
  • Coordinate daily site activities with EPC contractors, subcontractors, and other discipline teams.

Project Control & Coordination

  • Review contractor construction plans, work methodologies, schedules, and resource mobilization.
  • Track construction progress and report deviations, risks, and mitigation plans to the PMC Construction Manager.
  • Interface with engineering, procurement, HSE, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless execution.

Quality Assurance & Control

  • Ensure implementation of approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Review and approve work inspection requests (WIRs) and site technical queries related to mech works.
  • Ensure materials and workmanship meet project quality requirements and international standards.

HSE Compliance

  • Enforce strict adherence to project HSE policies, procedures, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in toolbox talks, safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
  • Stop unsafe work practices and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Contractor Management

  • Supervise contractor performance and productivity on site.
  • Identify construction issues and resolve them in coordination with contractors and engineering teams.
  • Review contractor progress reports and verify quantities for progress measurement.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate site records, daily reports, and progress updates.
  • Support preparation of weekly and monthly construction progress reports.
  • Review and contribute to as-built documentation and final handover dossiers
