Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee and optimize the maintenance schedules of all Plant Machinery Vehicles (PMVs) to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.

  • Conduct thorough inspections of PMVs, identifying and reporting defects promptly to ensure safety and prevent potential hazards.

  • Manage and mentor a team of PMV technicians, providing technical guidance and performance evaluations to foster a high-performing team.

  • Control PMV maintenance budgets, ensuring cost-effective procurement of parts and services while adhering to financial guidelines.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a relevant Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering or a related field.
  • Holds relevant certifications in PMV maintenance and repair (e.g., Heavy Equipment Technician Certification).
  • Demonstrates a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in PMV maintenance and supervision within the construction or mining industry.
  • Exhibits a strong understanding of various PMV types, including earthmoving equipment, trucks, and specialized machinery.
