About the Role

We re looking for a sharp, detail-obsessed Podcast Video Editor who can take raw multi-camera podcast footage and turn it into polished, high-retention YouTube episodes and then pull out high-performing short-form clips for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.

This isn t a basic clip-cutting role. You must understand pacing, punch-ins, color grading, audio cleanup, and the storytelling style behind top podcast channels.

What You ll Own

  • Long-Form YouTube Editing
  • Edit full podcast episodes from raw footage
  • Clean audio (leveling, background noise removal, EQ, compression)
  • Full color correction + grading
  • Create YouTube-optimized pacing (jump cuts, punch-ins, screen text when needed)
  • Integrate any branded intro/outro or lower thirds
  • Export in best YouTube settings
  • Deliver polished final cut + thumbnails when requested
  • Short-Form Clip Creation (3 per week minimum)
  • Pull out high-performing moments from each episode
  • Create vertical clips with dynamic captioning
  • Use pacing, zooms, punch-ins, and hooks to hold attention
  • Color-correct clips
  • Add subtle SFX if appropriate
  • Deliver for IG Reels / TikTok / Shorts
  • File Management
  • Work directly from Google Drive
  • Keep all raw footage, project files, exports, and templates organized
  • Deliver versions for review + final polished cuts on schedule

Desired Candidate Profile

  • 3+ years editing podcasts or talking-head content
  • Excellent with color grading and audio
  • Fast, organized, zero-ego communicator
  • Understands how to extract moments with viral potential
  • Can turn raw footage into a clean, premium, YouTube-ready episode
  • Works in Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve.
