Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The College of Information Technology (CIT) at United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) invites applications for a postdoctoral fellow position in computer vision with a focus on Artificial Intelligence Generated Content (AIGC).

The candidate will work closely with faculty investigators and industrial collaborators in advanced research areas, including:

  1. Unified and efficient video restoration models, especially for full-scene face video restoration.
  2. Customized storytelling image/video generation frameworks, based on reference persons.
  3. Human-centric video editing based on reference persons.

Expected Skills

  1. Solid understanding of diffusion models, Mamba/Transformer architectures, and attention-based models.
  2. Hands-on experience in developing AIGC frameworks or visual perception pipelines.
  3. Experience in collaborative research and open-source contributions.

Desired Candidate Profile

Suitable candidates MUST have:

  1. A Ph.D. in Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field.
  2. Have documented evidence (thesis, conference or journal articles, etc.) of relevant experience in the field of generative models and AIGC.

Minimum Qualification

  3. Strong programming skills in Python and experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, diffusers).

Preferred Qualification

First-author publications in top-tier international journals or conferences, such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, TPAMI, IJCV, and TIP.
