Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly analytical Power BI Specialist with a deep functional understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365). This role is essential for bridging the gap between our D365 ERP/CRM environment and business intelligence.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of reporting from navigating complex D365 data schemas to delivering high-impact, real-time dashboards that drive strategic decision-making.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
D365 Data Architecture: Design and implement robust data models by extracting and transforming data directly from Dynamics 365 (leveraging Dataverse, Synapse Link, or BYOD).
Advanced Dashboard Development: Create and maintain intuitive Power BI dashboards that provide a "single source of truth" for core business modules.
DAX & Power Query Engineering: Write complex DAX measures and utilize Power Query (M) for sophisticated data transformation and KPI calculation.
System Integration & Optimization: Ensure seamless synchronization between the ERP/CRM environment and the reporting layer, optimizing for performance and data refresh reliability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with department heads to translate complex business processes into technical reporting requirements and actionable insights.
Data Governance: Manage workspace security, including the implementation of Row-Level Security (RLS), and ensure high standards of data integrity across all reports.
Required Experience & Skills
Dynamics 365 Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of the D365 table schema, entities, and relationships. You must understand how front-end business processes map to back-end data tables.
Power BI Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
Technical Proficiency: Strong grasp of relational database concepts and experience in data modeling (Star Schema/Snowflake Schema).
Analytical Problem Solving: Proven ability to reconcile data between the source ERP and final reports to ensure 100% accuracy.
Professional Communication: Ability to present technical data findings to non-technical stakeholders clearly and concisely in a collaborative office environment.
Good to Have (Preferred)
Certifications: Relevant Microsoft certifications such as PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst) or any Dynamics 365 Functional Consultant credentials.
Technical Stack: Experience with SQL Server, Power Automate, or Azure Data Factory.
Industry Experience: Prior experience working with D365 in a large-scale corporate or industrial environment.
