Roles & Responsibilities
III. PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
- Perform a wide range of power system studies, including load flow and voltage drop analysis, short circuit (fault current) analysis, protection coordination and relay settings verification, arc flash hazard analysis, and transient/dynamic stability studies as needed.
- Model and simulate electrical networks using tools such as ETAP.
- Analyze study results and develop technical reports with clear recommendations.
- Support design reviews and engineering decisions with data-driven insights.
- Collaborate with Planning and Operations teams to implement study recommendations.
- Validate as-built models against field data.
- Ensure all studies comply with industry standards (IEEE, IEC) and local regulations (SEC, SERA, GCCIA).
- Participate in technical audits, grid code compliance assessments, and incident investigations.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of internal study procedures, templates, and guidelines.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the direct supervisors.
