Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
You'll specifically take care of designing power supply systems and validating their implementation, but also contribute to traction simulation inputs, testing procedures, and supplier evaluations.
We ll look to you for:
- Performing basic and detailed engineering activities for AC and DC traction power supply systems for metro, tram, and mainline projects
- Providing electrical architectures, technical specifications, functional specifications, and interface specifications
- Writing and modifying calculation notes, and ensuring compliance with technical standards
- Managing interfaces between traction power and other subsystems
- Defining traction power architectures, operational modes, and functionalities
- Writing sub-system specifications and coordinating testing, validation, and supplier evaluations
- Providing technical support to construction and test teams, and participating in site testing and commissioning
- Performing project-level and metier-level reporting, and supporting risk mitigation plans
- Contributing to as-built documentation and sharing return-on-experience insights
- Collaborating with regional and central engineering teams, customers, project management teams, suppliers, and subcontractors

Desired Candidate Profile
We value passion and attitude over experience. That s why we don t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 5-7 years of experience in the electrical design field, with railway experience preferred
- Experience in electrical power distribution design (e.g., space program, cable routing, earthing design, equipment sizing, calculations for voltage drop, short circuit, power factor, and selectivity), both manually and using software (e.g., ETAP, SKM, Ecodial, E-design)
- Proficiency in drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Draftsight)
- Knowledge of electrical power equipment specifications (e.g., MVSGs, transformers, LV panels, cables, UPSs, and generators)
- Basic understanding of automation and communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, IEC61850, Ethernet IP)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage technical issues
