Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify pricing opportunities and threats, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
- Develop and implement pricing strategies across various product lines, optimizing for revenue growth, profitability, and market share.
- Analyze pricing performance using key metrics (e.g., margin, volume, and customer lifetime value), and provide actionable insights for improvements.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to align pricing strategies with overall business objectives and go-to-market plans.
- Build and maintain pricing models and tools, leveraging data analytics to forecast and simulate pricing scenarios.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of pricing initiatives, making necessary adjustments to maximize results.
- Lead pricing projects, from initial assessment through implementation and post-launch analysis, ensuring successful outcomes.
- Stay informed about industry trends, economic factors, and regulatory changes that could impact pricing strategies.
- Present pricing recommendations and findings to senior management, effectively communicating complex information.
- Develop and maintain pricing guidelines and policies, ensuring consistency and compliance across the organization.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business, Statistics, or a related field.
● 3+ years of experience in pricing, revenue management, commercial strategy, or financial analytics—preferably in retail or e-commerce.
● Strong quantitative, modeling, and analytical skills; proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, sensitivity analysis).
● Experience with pricing tools, BI dashboards, or analytics platforms.
● Ability to interpret data trends, derive insights, and present recommendations clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
● Understanding of promotional/discount mechanics and how they impact demand and margin.
● Commercial mindset: balancing revenue growth, margin protection, and competitive positioning.
● Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
● Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple pricing scenarios and strategies.
● Experience in furniture, interior design, or home goods sectors, especially e-commerce.
● Familiarity with cost accounting, SKU rationalization, product lifecycle management.
● Knowledge of price elasticity, demand forecasting, and sensitivity modeling.
● Experience using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) or pricing optimization software.
● Past experience planning major sales events or discount strategies (e.g. Black Friday, clearance events).
● Understanding of regional market dynamics and competitor behavior in the Gulf / UAE region.
