Roles & Responsibilities

RAK Academy - Al Hamra is looking for a positive, driven and inspirational Head of English a middle leadership role to join the team with the ability to teach multiple primary key stages. The Head of English works closely with; Head of School, Deputy Head of school, class teachers, lead teachers to coordinate, lead and ensure effective curriculum planning and recording. The Head of English also identifies and addresses English language professional development needs.

Essential

  • Bachelor s degree.
  • Post Graduate Certificate in Education (or equivalent).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Ability to teach across multiple primary key stages.
  • Over 5 years teaching experience in English curriculum in Primary school.
  • Experienced and knowledgeable about the English and accreditation.
  • English coordinator training.
  • Concept-based Curriculum and Instruction awareness or practiced.

Desirable

  • Experience of using Google suite, e.g., Google classroom
  • Trained in UK Curriculum or international Baccalaureate.
