ELEMENTARY LEARNING SUPPORT NEEDED FOR BAHRAIN SCHOOL IN AUGUST 2026
Head of Department For a modern international school offering a high-quality American curriculum from early years through Grade 12. Set on a purpose-built campus, it combines strong academic foundations with a focus on innovation, technology, and student wellbeing. In the high school years, students can choose between Advanced Placement (AP) courses and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP), providing flexible pathways to university. The school serves a diverse community with a strong representation of Bahraini students, creating an environment that blends international education with local culture, while promoting creativity, collaboration, and global citizenship.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor s degree in Education or a relevant subject area
- Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, B.Ed, QTS or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 3 years of teaching experience (American curriculum preferred)
- Experience with AP and/or IB Diploma Programme (IB DP) is an advantage
- Strong English language proficiency (spoken and written)
- Ability to deliver engaging, student-centred and inquiry-based lessons
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills
- Experience working in multicultural or international school environments
- Commitment to student wellbeing, safeguarding, and inclusive practices
- Willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities and wider school life
